What time is check in / check out and reception hours?

Check-in time is from 2 pm.

Check-out is no later than 10 am.
Late check-out can be arranged until noon, subject to availability and at a cost of $50 per room.

Reception hours are:
Sun to Thurs 9 am – 6 pm
Fri & Sat 8 am – 8 pm

For arrival and departures outside of reception hours, please contact us at stay@pghotel.com.au to make alternate arrangements.

Does the hotel have car parking?

Free onsite parking is available at the hotel, enter at the back of the hotel via Fenwick Street. There are 2 disabled parking spots in the hotel car park plus another public disabled park out the front of the hotel.

One hour parking available at front of hotel for drop off and loading. 

Does the hotel have a lift?

Both accommodation levels plus the bistro are accessible via the central lift.

What accessible facilities do you have?

The entire venue is designed to ensure ease of accessability to all dining areas. A lift has been installed to access both levels of accommodation. Two accessible rooms are available, conveniently located near the lift featuring a spacious bathroom with open / roll in shower and bathroom features to support all abilities

Is Wi-Fi available in the hotel?

Yes.  Complimentary WI-FI is available for all guests.

Can more than two people stay in a room?

Our rooms are primarily designed to cater for 2 guests. Some rooms may have the space for a roll away bed. Please enquire directly with the hotel to arrange and confirm.

How do we make a group booking or buy out of all rooms?

Please contact us on stay@pghotel.com.au with the details of your request, including dates, no of guests / rooms and length of stay.

Do the rooms have tea/coffee making facilities?

Yes.  All rooms have their own tea/ coffee facilities with plunger coffee available and a variety of teas

Does the hotel provide room service?

We can certainly help you out with room service, within our kitchen opening hours. Please review the hours here

Do the rooms have hairdryers?

Yes.  Hairdryers are available in each room.

How do I make my way to the hotel if arriving via Port Phillip Ferries?

The hotel is a short 5 – 10 minute walk up to the main street from the pier. You will spy the turret of the hotel as your guiding reference.

What transport options are available in the area?

There are a number of  local transport companies in Portarlington. We suggest you pre book any of these if you are requiring to explore the wineries and surrounding towns and experiences.

Although we are not currently offering breakfast within the hotel, there are several local cafes who provide breakfasts within walking distance of the hotel.

How far is it to Portarlington from Melbourne?

Port Phillip Ferries travel daily between Melbourne, Docklands and Portarlington. The 70 minute cruise is very comfortable and relaxing, on board the modern vessel with onboard licensed cafe.

The drive from Melbourne is approx. 90 minutes

Are pets allowed?

Many of us at PGH are dog lovers. Controlled (and adorable) dogs are welcome in the outdoor dining areas. No Pets or dogs are allowed within the internal building or accommodation. 

Do you offer laundering services?

There is a local laundrette approx. 1 kilometre away from the hotel

Are there minibars in the room?

A mini fridge is provided in each room with complimentary bottled water and milks supplied. There is enough space to chill your locally purchased produce.

Do you offer luggage storage?

Absolutely, we have space to hold your luggage for your convenience.

Is smoking allowed in rooms or balconies?

For the enjoyment of all, smoking is not permitted within the hotel

Is there a safe in the room?

Yes, every room has a lockable safe in the room

Is there a TV in each room?

Yes there are Smart TV’s provided in each room with the capacity to cast your favourite streaming service or watch free to air television.

Charging and USB ports

There are multiple power outlets and USB ports available in each room.

Are toiletries provided for my stay?

Each bathroom is supplied with toiletries plus environmentally friendly and organic body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

What are the Minimum Age requirements?

Please note that the minimum booking and check-in age is 18 years, photo ID may be required upon request. We cannot accommodate guests under this age staying without parent(s), legal guardian(s) or a spouse who is over the age of 18.
